Yesterday I was casually chatting with my brother online when he told me "kuya naghahanap ako ng tuko", meron akong buyer na magbabayad ng 300K for a 300g tuko! ( I am looking for a geckoI know a buyer who will pay 300K for a 300g weight)

Growing up in province where "Tuko" is very common, (it can serve as your wake-up call anytime) I was shocked when he said the 300K for a gecko. I mean, who in the face of the earth will pay a 300K pesos for an ugly lizard!

Confused and unable to believe what he told me, I Googled "Tuko Price" and I came up with a Sulit web page, I opened the first page which shows "Tuko 450g"
and there it was, a skyrocketing price of 1,000,000 pesos for the 450g lizard!!!
I didn't mistype the zeros guys....its really 1M and they are saying they even cut the price from 1.5M to 1M. WTF!!!

If these prices are really true, I might consider quitting my job over a "Tuko" breeding project! hahaha, Tuko....tuko....tuko...

The 4th installment of Bourne was reported to shoot some of the scenes in Manila.
The movie will not be featuring Matt Damon though, who definitely made a very good impression for the Bourne franchise. Jeremy Renner will play the next Bourne; he starred The Hurt Locker which for me is the best movie he had made so far..

What do you think the new Bourne movie will look like with David running in the traffic packed quiapo streets and fighting inside the bus in Edsa? hahaha
I'm looking forward to see David taking control of a Jeepney and making 90degrees turn, over running police cars and running through MMDA installations...Good luck directory Gilroy. :)

I remember when I was in grade school, our teacher proudly informed us how Philippines opposed and fought those that invaded our small country and how we gained sovereignty through the help of our national heroes.

Later we proudly asked our US ally to remove their military bases in Subic because we want to show we are sovereign.
Wikipedia defined sovereignty as the ability of a state to have a supreme and independent authority over a geographical area such as territory
My question now is are we really sovereign?

Over the years, the super power China has been invading our territory and we can't do anything about it. They are bullying us inside our own backyard and all we can do is run and protest to UN the same way we tell our mothers how our bigger classmate ate our lunch. Ouch!

South Korea, a more developed country than Philippines has more than 28000 US military forces scattered in different bases within the country. They openly welcome the presence of US forces because they are wise enough to admit that they can't defend their country alone should their old rival brother North Korea attack them.

I think this is the time we allow bringing back US military bases in Philippines. Lets swallow our pride and ask for help preventively instead of crying to UN after our territory has been invaded and our so called "sovereignty" is violated.

Just my opinion....

RH Bill has been a political debate in the Philippines recently. Church crossed the line of separation from the state and has been intervening with their claim that RH bill is against the catholic teaching.

Here in Korea, the people embraced the idea of family planning and limit their child to average of 2 and maximum of 3.

Look at South Korea now, economy is high, poverty is low, and country is very much developed.

Wake up my fellow countrymen, RH bill can be the long waited answer to the poverty issue of Philippines. Lets support the RH bill.
